Vocal Performance (June1-5 & July 13-17) 8am-11:30am
If you love to sing and act this is a class for you! This class will be covering proper vocal techniques, warm ups, exercises, breath support, learning how to develop a character and act through a song. You child will have the opportunity to work on solo songs. This class will be taught by Ms. Alicia Carol who has a Masters in Music and a Bachelors in Vocal Performance with a Minor in Theater.
Songwriting (June 1-5 & July 13-17) 12pm-3:30pm
If you find yourself singing melodies, writing poems, creating fun chord progressions on your instrument then this is a class for you. You will learn how to put all those skills together into a song. Ms. Alicia Carol will be teaching this class. She has been writing songs for over 20 years and loves helping new songwriters to find their own unique voice through songwriting.
Cartoon/Comic Book (June 8-12 & July 6-10)
Learn to draw and design cartoon characters, using the Preston Blair method, which helped to create Woody Woodpecker and Tom and Jerry. Your child will learn to create lines of action, head construction, cute and goofy characters, heroes and heroines; reaching a level in free drawing their own characters into a Comic Book and/or Graphic Novel.
Creative Writing (June 15-19 & June 29 - July 3)
Do you like to write stories? Maybe you have a great story idea in your head and you’re having trouble getting it down on paper. Or would you simply like to improve your writing skills? This class will give you many tricks and tips on being a better writer. The class is taught by a college level writing professor and you’re sure to improve your creative writing skills.
Acting/ Music Theater (June 22-26, July 20-24)
Explore Musical Theater! A combination of music, improv, dancing and theater set-up will be in this class! During this course your child will learn to create an environment of exploration of musical theatre through acting, movement and song. Students will write their own story with guidance. They will help with the creation of props, small costume pieces and design a backdrop. This class will be taught by Ms. Alicia Carol who has a Masters in Music and a Bachelors in Vocal Performance with a Minor in Theater.
